The compact limit switch with forked light barrier is perfect as a limit switch or reference switch for 3D printers, self-made milling/CNC machines ect. Optical limit switches have no mechanical stress and therefore no wear. More precise than mechanical limit switches, they are ideal for the Z-axis of 3D printers. The connection cables are simply connected to the board and do not need to be soldered.
